There was an impressive turnout at the Inaugural meeting of the Sun City West LGBT club on February 10. Sixty-Six members enjoyed meeting their lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender neighbors, and learning about club activities. There was a lot of excitement generated, as many members had previously felt isolated or lacked a sense of Community.
Our purpose is to meet new people, create community and to provide opportunities to socialize and have fun. We are a growing membership and welcome you to join us and contribute your ideas of how to help achieve our common goals. The group gathers the third Monday of each month at Unity Church, 14495 W. RH Johnson Blvd, at 6:30pm, and often plan an additional social event/month.
The SCW LGBT club is the newest Non-chartered club belonging to the Recreation Centers of Sun City West. Membership is open to members of the Sun City West LGBT Community and their Allies. My wife and I have lived here for over three years now and have an adult transgender daughter who lives in Tempe. She will be excited to know you are here too.
